Artist Profile

Jenni Mclaughlin is an Australian Visual Artist currently based in Adelaide, South Australia. Since undertaking studies at Adelaide College of the Arts she has participated in exhibitions in Adelaide (Australia), Melbourne (Australia), Granada (Spain) and Madrid (Spain). Her work has also been adapted for large-scale public art commissions in her hometown of Adelaide, Australia. 

Her process explores the symbolism and mythology found in various forms of divination, at times inspired by the Surrealist movement and vintage illustration. Recurring imagery is used within her 2D, hand painted artworks as a changeable visual language inspired by esoteric practices such as the tarot.

Her latest project, The Falling Card Tarot, is an indie tarot card deck featuring 78 hand painted illustrations.
